Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Somename666: I don't really get into rooting.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Sceptique: That Jews ≠ native Israelites. So much irony is in kikeslayer's anti-Semitic comments. It's a religion, not an ethnicity.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: It would be cool if iframes were out of the picture so lightboxes and video players using iframes become available for use. I think the current iframe gets in the way of them. Is that correct?
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Ask other developers and Nofish directly.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Somename666: What does that have to do with making app daemons automatically start at boot? Are you sleeping well?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nofish: The user needs to know this on the configuration page and maybe ZH.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nofish: It skips checking entirely in this situation. It will immediately falsely report a positive again.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nofish: Why is that? Can the user be informed better of this?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nzmj: T-Mobile prepaid
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: https://report.cybertip.org/ is the only provided method I ever see, but I think that's for a reason.
Styromaniac commented on Differentiation's post: Very easy to read. Not perfect, but very good quality.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nzmj: It's typical politics causing cognitive dissonance. Most not getting along, threatening them where they stand on, not looking deeper than historic memes, everyone getting mean, because it gives them a place to stand, they throw stones and become the face of hate, all sides carrying some of that poor value, like dice having no zero. Nobody who's divided ever thought and decided that maybe they're being played, and so it causes dismay to ever dare say the truth. In the end, we all lose, my friend.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Back in business.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @caryoscelus: That is unfortunate when space may be tight.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @Nofish: I think people should be able to review comments of deleted threads for deletion or future referencing. Maybe make the first remaining comment a new thread of its own and have following comments go into that new thread.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Or would this comment be left behind if I delete this thread?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: I think everything is a kaleidoscopic recursion and I don't know what that means to us. A fractal?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Maybe the strangeness of quantum mechanics, infinity and spirituality merge.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Nofish: Confirmed. Thank you.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Requires JS. This is beyond my understanding.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: It's linked in ZeroNet.io and ZeroNet is also in the play store.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Caropc2: With bars of soap and pin cushion dolls.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: The stupid Android apps are removing WebUI. These developers like removing features.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Inconsequential or beneficial. Probably saves energy/resources not checking on my IPv4 ISP's port number when there's no expectation of it having utility.
Styromaniac commented on Differentiation's post: @Diff: If you're repeating messages like that, then everyone will want you muted.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: This looks reasonable. Maybe you didn't give a good impression earlier. If I can think of more ideas, I'll contribute.
Styromaniac commented on Differentiation's post: But let's not stoke one another's flames.
Styromaniac commented on Differentiation's post: I remember being like that myself.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Pexo: Good site's address suddenly turning to CP directory. Yeah, I would say so.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Lola: I've decided that these types are unhealthy for the community. Spammy with obsession. Potentially scary to someone out there. I don't take threats seriously anymore, but one might.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Geekless's post: One point to consider: Nofish himself said that lack of multi threading is ZeroNet's scaling problem. Proxies need multi threading. So, using the most parallel compute friendly language might be beneficial.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Thunder33345's post: @SSDifnskdjfnsdjk: Well, he actually does make a bunch of small fixes, just not very often. The smallest quirks he might not fix, but for user friendliness and bigger bugs, he takes care of.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Geekless's post: Why not code directly in binary? /Joking
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: BlurHY prefers it to be a browser extension or socket proxy. I agree with him.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: You're right.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Geekless: It's an FF fork.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Schiz0's post: I fell out of interest with Mastodon. The rules are ridiculous with some pods.
Styromaniac commented on Undyingfirewall's post: We don't understand your vague rants. I would like to, however. Maybe we can be of some support to you.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Lola: You sure of that? I'll have to tag you in a post.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: Nope. Tor is now built in.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on caryoscelus's post: @Nofish:
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: Panic and pacification over unscientific understanding of why the life giving sun about disappears at winter solstice is part of many sacrificial rituals.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: Their dogma does no good.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: I empathise with your feelings on it. Religion never made right, but navigation around personal evil, the threat of damnation to keep people orderly who lack real human value.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: Bawling my eyes out at the fact that the abuse I've faced is thought of as funny. I don't need them.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: I think diff is not a problem like the other is. A touchy subject brought up, but not looking as psychotic. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: My family.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: Down
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: I think Nofish is afraid that dependence on other protocols could lead to its demise. But, you've brought up strong points for doing this.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: It's a good one. I won't debate against it. The advertising of both names.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: That and less of an embarrassment to the CCP. It's less of a broadcast.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Tox not being a very public thing, more private communication.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on caryoscelus's post: Low threshold, perhaps?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @caryoscelus: Matching strings of text isn't so complex and biased. I think it could be the key to mass adoption. Familiarity wins. Present the alternative to the clearnet, looks similar, works better, is less annoying, but doesn't censor. That's valuable. At least if there were any Axon Plebeian Edition, you'd see it become popular overnight, but I still think this will be more fair for sites not run by Nofish.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @caryoscelus: Well, I don't think Horizon will be linking to the clearnet, so that inferior search engine is an exception.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Lola: Likely
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: Oh. Intrusive thoughts? That's quite a regular thing for many. Sometimes I think they are of the adjacent person in the same room or close proximity. Not one explanation has to negate the other nor be mutually exclusive. Sometimes one is the better explanation, more suited to the situation.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: I think of it as similar neural circuitries causing interference to one another.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: I'll need a layman's translation. LOL I looked up the word extemporaneous, but don't get the sentence.
Styromaniac commented on Differentiation's post: You don't look like a problem to me yet. I let many things slide even if they're not right.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: Does diff remind you of h3bhkj5gqz4n3pjm? He's nutty.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: I have now that ZH got fixed.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: I need to be sure it's a spammer. I rarely only take someone's word.

styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: You meant differentiation?
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: I did. Not in the list. Link to the spam so I can see it for myself.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: I'm missing a name in my blocklist. It might be diff.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: What's their cert address? I think that's the no-name in MOAB (?)
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Not that I know this to be 100% true, but it explains a little bit.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: I must have blocked diff already. I can't see him, just like John Cena.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: Axonet is trademarked, bro. Axon is a word that can't be owned. Axon is easier to memorize and rolls off the tongue. It's shorter.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: Realjohndoe is a retard. Ignore him.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @caryoscelus: But being a really good one, it will let you find the inferior ones too.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Still preferring Axon. It's the most catchy.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Geekless: Agreed.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Vascoconstriction results, leading to pain. Nausea is another symptom of LSA. I actually cannot recommend this based on research. It could kill those with sensitive cardiovascular systems. I've not tried it and never will.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on ssdifnskdjfnsdjk@zeroid.bit's post: @SSDifnskdjfnsdjk: That's the problem. No multi core/thread. This is a known cause of it.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Geekless: As stated.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Blurhy: I believe that to be where the war on information ends up. People will need trustworthy operating systems.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Hmm. IPZN would get the advertising of both ZeroNet and IPFS. Interplanetary ZeroNet. I'm thinking about it.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: @blurHY: I think Axon is good enough.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Know that this can be confused with trademarked Axonet.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on Blurhy's post: Try ThunderWave

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Pexo: Well we already know Joe is one of them regardless, so no. More generally.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @caryoscelus: It's all about making the other look like an existential threat. Once you do that, because we don't have Australia's voting system, people feel they have no choice but to vote Pepsi or Coke.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Me being ironic about the sad truth.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Pexo: Well, dang. It's never made too much easier. I looked for facial patterns.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Maybe because of something else, actually. I had to reset the modem.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Zero2proxy: Probably because of port 443 being used. Oh well.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Gaypidoras: I don't think he's good. And I can see that you underestimate US corruption.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: All Android apps use the same port: 443.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Moor: ZeroNet uses UPNP port punching. UPNP has a network security risk, but probably if you're being lax with your network security already. I'm not sure. However, it's very useful.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Gaypidoras: I dislike the federal government's actions and apprehension toward giving the people what they need. I have no problem with state government. The people here kind of suck too. Edgy politics and cognitive dissonance are king and queen here.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on ssdifnskdjfnsdjk@zeroid.bit's post: Sometimes content does vanish from the clearnet. It depends on people's interest in the content, anyway. I'm not saying the porn will just disappear, but it can happen. I've possibly been instrumental in disappearing CP by reporting it.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on ssdifnskdjfnsdjk@zeroid.bit's post: @Nofish: Will you be working on a device sync feature? Use QR codes or something like that?

Styromaniac commented on Kaffie's post: Because he's not part of the murderous pedarast club.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @leftside: You need more definitive arguments than what you've made. They're overly simplistic.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @ssdifnskdjfnsdjk@zeroid.bit: Duh. I need to take advantage of this speed with a dedicated file server port for parallel traffic. Parallel traffic utilizes full available bandwidth.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @leftside: Nice retort. 👏

styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on ssdifnskdjfnsdjk@zeroid.bit's post: @Moor: We really need a multi device sync for things like this. Too bad that's not in the development pipeline yet.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Understand that the claims the FDA makes are politically charged.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @FraYoshi: Italian tears. The game is supposed to take place in rural Spain and the main characters are the only ones who have to speak a language in common with the player, which they do. styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on leftside's post: @leftside: IDK. Port closed might be the issue. I need to get a new modem, although I'm going to move out of this apartment and I owe family. It's a piece of trash modem that for no reason other than manual DNS... had permanently locked me out.
Styromaniac commented on nekololi's post: Your issue with that comes from your lack of trust. Most of us are creating blacklists for the lowest common denominators, meaning that views are often not part of it, but I think most of us even have the sense to understand who the real bigots are instead of being like aposematic ratchets throwing accusations. There is a dishonest blocklist placed upon my blocklist. It had a bunch of the most active and friendly members listed as spammers. Probably a Chinese state disinformation tactic. I don't want people to go for the wrong blocklist like that. I think honesty will win out.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on leftside's post: If you're talking about Duende, well, Duende is a useless troll seeking attention. They can try making themselves useful just by sharing themselves here, but instead chooses to fill zeronet with flaming trash comments.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on leftside's post: I once had a dream that I was being attacked with a knife, but then I seized it and turned it on the attacker in arrest, then the attacker played the victim and I got in trouble. styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on caryoscelus's post: Is that feature back?
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Kaffie: That's how I see it. Like you, I only put people on that list for most commonly disagreeable acts, which in this case is spam. Duende will act infantile because he's seeking attention. It's a psychological projection that he's making about you. Everything he says about you, he's likely actually saying about himself. Otherwise they don't apply to you anyway and they still would be fabricated accusations to stir up shit. I think he's seeking attention, influence and an atmosphere of hatred, but he only got on these lists for being a spammer.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on KxoBot's post: I've only had a problem when it looked like malice. It's a very long story. None of it will go the way I want, so I don't even know if it's worth trying. It's also been a hurricane of everything going wrong. I think I just don't want to think about it.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on KxoBot's post: @Eightyfour: the point I'm making is that it mattered to me, though it was case by case, but Dan made it over the top by telling me everyone's a Free Mason out to get me and that's why instead of honest mistakes. it is the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard, aside him also accusing Krixano of being a pro-slavety Free Mason. I have no idea what drives those thought processes, but Krixano would be absolutely nothing like that with these lists.
Styromaniac commented on Pigpog's post: The answer is yes. I'm pretty sure spies know all about this.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on KxoBot's post: @Quantumworld: Be glad Dan didn't make them. He was trying to tell me that everyone is transphobic because they were misgendering me, even though the realistic expectation is that not everyone would catch on to that or see any notice of it, might even forget about it and assumed up front that everybody of ambiguous gender on the Internet is male. There would be too many false positives on Dan's list from what he was trying to convince me of.
styromaniac@zeroid.bit commented on KxoBot's post: Is that all your own creation? It's pretty neat.
Styromaniac commented on Krixano's post: RJD calls homosexual and transgender people pedarasts, pretty much, but his vocabulary isn't that good. I use that as a blanket term for everything he accuses them of: child sexualization, rape and molestation. Sometimes it comes off as a troll, but I fear he's actually that dumb.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: He was spewing bullshit that she was power-tripping, seeking attention and forcing an agenda of censorship. I guess he doesn't know where he belongs in this world and he wants to be on the shitty, bigoted side of it.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Quantumworld: Search Duende's posts.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Quantumworld: you might be familiar with the discussion. Accusations were placed upon Kaffie, but she didn't do wrong. She didn't block someone because of anything to do with her. She did this because it was nothing but commenting on random threads telling people to kill themselves. The person making the accusations against Kaffie is pretending to be an enemy of your enemy. That's the psyop.
Styromaniac commented on Krixano's post: RealJohnDoe is historically anti-Semite, BTW.
Styromaniac commented on Krixano's post: You provided a dichotomy for me to choose from to explain myself, which is a false dichotomy. I gave an explanation. I don't think that homeless people are lesser. There's a risk I cannot take. And yes if someone is daring to try meth, they likely will never get off of it, because they will try anything and they don't care how bad the addiction gets. And thieves can be quite worthless, because they only steal, they don't try to make their money honestly. You've not known them. I've met plenty. So yeah, I'm not as terrible as your initial questionnaire might expect, but I have no reason to risk the same situation again. I will give people a boost to survive with knowledge and hardware, but I will not let them in my living space again. Yes, I'm burned. Nobody's beholden to remember and abide by your pet peeve list. This is your anger. You control it.
Styromaniac commented on Krixano's post: Each paragraph is about a different person.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @Krixano: because feeling sorry for people is my weakness when I don't know someone enough. It puts me at risk if the homeless person happens to be a bad person. From now on I'll give them everything but a place to stay, pertaining to shelter, water and foraging, but my trust is not good enough for overnight stay. I was homeless for a bit and all I really wanted was the equipment and knowledge to survive outside. Feeling sorry for someone will only open up vulnerability in me, to provide more than what is actually needed. Sometimes that's all anybody can do is to help them survive out there, anyway. You can run into a lot of legal issues by letting a new person stay with you, unless you make the rules (private property and no mortgage stipulation).
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: get anger management. You do not understand anything that I say and you turn around and you keep acting like I do not set my words intentionally the way they are. you keep spreading and stretching my words far and wide to cover every little expectation of yours and your expectation is that I'm a giant piece of s***.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: and here's a one-off for you. You're the one who judges everyone by the adjacent sentence instead of the entirety of the situation and also conflate one wording with another. What I say is intentional, but your interpretations are not. I can only expect from now on that you always twist everything everybody says and makes out to be a piece of shit (some issue of interpreting things entirely of your own) when they're simply saying they've been burned, so why do it again...
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: I cannot trust every homeless person out there. Therefore I cannot let anyone make me feel guilty. I obviously cannot tell a liar from someone telling the truth. And again if they're going to get hypothermia they can start a fire. I had fire building materials ready for him before I ever met him, so he could have even taken that option. Don't conflate one sentence nor comment with another.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: he's been stealing for many years. he's not trying. he's worthless. He could have landed a job by now.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Lastly he did not commit an act of breaking and entering, so there is no recovering that money unless by small claims even though the signatures do not match. We are trying.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: you said I equated all homeless people to druggies. Stop your shit, Christian Seibold. Expecting people to figure something out is different than getting it together. I've studied fire making techniques so I could survive. That's figuring shit out. Getting emotions under control would be getting your shit together, which is not what I mentioned.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Also, I expect a programmer to recognize if statements. Guess I shouldn't.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Had I listened to the friend that warned me about him, this would not have happened. That is the entire relevance to drug abuse is that one guy that I let into my apartment. That is an individual basis of judgment, which is proper. I just didn't know who to trust and it cost me over $400 to figure it out.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Let's not make this another episode of shoving words into my mouth. This guy brought me very close to not being able to eat food myself. I don't have to stretch my legs for people this way where I am vulnerable to hemorrhage money. End of story.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @KxoBot: I know this guy was actually saying he used to do meth. He's stolen from other people. If he weren't a thief he would be asking for money instead of also taking people's debit cards to the ATM without their permission.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: Doesn't really matter. Might be better to halve 720p since thumbs can be found that big. That's a perfect downsampling.
Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: That's terrible, but at the same time, good riddance. I lost over $400. I will no longer feel sorry for another person without a home. They can figure that shit out. It's not up to me and there's no reason to stretch my leg out so far for these people.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: I like the Razer phone 2 so much. Also I think I had to get away from Sprint. Sprint is going to hold on to me as a customer until I Port my phone number. Android suffered from latency for so long in this phone has virtually none you have to try really hard to notice it's down to like a millisecond. I also like having an entire 2560 by 1440 pixels without cutouts hole punches notches nor rounded corners. It was also the best I could do since my Rep payee did not pay on a medical bill and my credit score dropped 200 points. right now I'm on T-Mobile and the reception is good enough to hold a conversation throughout 95% of the floor space in this apartment.

Styromaniac commented on Styromaniac's post: @leftside: Yes. I'm even feeling more justified in getting the Note 9 since it has no display cutout. You have to be careful with IPFS too. I landed on an IPFS proxy hosted list linking to CP. The option was provided by Sweet IPFS to load via P2P. I chose before finding this out to load via proxy. I've not proceeded to load content, of course, so I'm safe.

All technology gets abused this way, not excluding clearnet technologies.

I'll find a way to report this to IPFS.io

@ulrichard: Freedom is freedom. Use DNS filters to shield your kids, at 25 it is all them. You certainly don't have to like all content, but suppressing any of it is a slippery slope.

ulrichard · ulrichard@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Styromaniac: It's a fine balance between freedom and privacy on one side, and not wanting to deal with all the bad stuff on the other. And it's a hard problem to solve. I think I can deal with it for myself, but I'm still not sure how I want to educate my kids on these matters. On one hand I don't want to send them to the centralized, curated, surveiled platforms. On the other hand, I don't want them to discover horrible stuff on a free and open platform. With time you learn how to avoid this stuff, but to get there you have to understand the hints.

I have my IPv6 address entered in configuration, but that's not available on my WiFi connection, just IPv4 but no open port, so ZeroNet is falsely informing me of an open port on WiFi just because I have an IP address entered. Only T-Mobile has open ports for me in actuality, @Nofish:

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Nofish: The user needs to know this on the configuration page and maybe ZH.

Nofish · nofish@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Styromaniac: Yes, if you wants to be checked, then you should set it to automatic.

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Nofish: It skips checking entirely in this situation. It will immediately falsely report a positive again.

Nofish · nofish@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Styromaniac: It could be possible by checking if there is any incoming connection happened that points to that ip. Right you can do it manually by checking it on the /Stats page

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

@Nofish: Why is that? Can the user be informed better of this?

Nofish · nofish@zeroid.biton Jul 09, 2019Reply

And, I think politically Jews are very positively progressive people. They're not ones to judge, having been persecuted in the past and/or present. I can disagree with their religion and all religions. An atheist would except where they realize any of their practical knowledge.

No matter the belief system or atheism, the establishment politicians are the exception. The establishment is not a Jewish creation.

What was that truth about ?

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 08, 2019Reply

@Nzmj: It's typical politics causing cognitive dissonance.

People like kikeslayer ironically advocate for these people to be placed in Israel.

Most Jews are anything but native Israeli.

I have a vision for Mixtape, but I'm not seeing it happen, and not for any reason I know (I don't know any, except maybe side projects going on, which is fine). Not my business anyway.

It would be a nice playlist creator with the custom playlist to the right, full width player at the bottom.

I hold no interest until it has a better player interface at the minimum.

Lola is in my respects either way, but Mixtape is incomplete. She has other important things in life.

Browsing onion sites without knowing what changes were made is far more dangerous than clearnet and ZeroNet combined. I recommend staying with ZeroNet, especially with blocklists. Google images pulls up a lot of nopeworthy content. ZeroNet is safest, but don't click just anything anyway. Part of being safe still requires personal responsibility. Blocklists only cover some but not all lack of personal responsibility. You can't catch the bad actors all the time.

Google images is actually pretty safe, because they have the resources to actually somewhat moderate the images and have lot's of users reporting content.

Also, the Stanley micro USB cable died for no fucking reason unless by planned obsolescence or bad engineering. iHip is very flexible yet clean for signal.

So, try to recognize thought patterns that don't belong to you and wonder if they're from the person nearby.

I have a high IQ, but not the education of the wonderful developers here.

I could however become a branding consultant.

Remember to make highly original pet names with relatively useless terms to daily life. You'll get where I'm at in terms of branding. A little science leads to cool names.

Also remember that there are short sequences of letters that don't exist in languages like English. Entirely original words are possible, but difficult. You could automate a computer to find original, pronounceable letter sequences.

When ZeroNet becomes more popular, I expect a soft fork like Axon to only list Horizon. From there, you'd find exactly what you need. Favoritism by suggestion instead of discovery would not be a thing for those running this soft fork.

Therefore, Nofish's sites are no longer the go-to and other sites get more attention from both users and maintainers.

It's like having a clearnet search engine in the browser, but instead by Axon if @BlurHY: agrees.

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 04, 2019Reply

@caryoscelus: Matching strings of text isn't so complex and biased.

I think it could be the key to mass adoption. Familiarity wins.

Present the alternative to the clearnet, looks similar, works better, is less annoying, but doesn't censor. That's valuable.

At least if there were any Axon Plebeian Edition, you'd see it become popular overnight, but I still think this will be more fair for sites not run by Nofish.

caryoscelus · caryoscelus@zeroid.biton Jul 04, 2019Reply

@Styromaniac: you talk about Horizon in a vein similar to how Chrome developers could talk about Google search. Search engine, however good it is, should not be a replacement for all other means of discovering network. It will always have algorithms for preferring sites and these are likely to be manipulatable (or imperfect in other way, anyhow)

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 04, 2019Reply

That's another sort of favouritism. Also, search-only is no good for other reasons: you won't find something if you have no idea what to look for

Styromaniac · styromaniac@zeroid.biton Jul 03, 2019

Zeroconfig · zeroconfig@zeroid.biton Jul 03, 2019Reply

@Geekless: It is more convenient, but this could diminish performance. If it's easier to implement a python-only solution first then go with that and if Python becomes too much of a bottle-neck move to a compiled solution, mind you we're already using compiled code in ZeroNet (libsecp256k1)

Geekless · geekless@zeroid.biton Jul 03, 2019Reply
