Plasmmer commented on Glightstar's post: @Glightstar: You can use your site folder (in data) as a GIT project, like [ZeroMe Beta](http://127.0.0.1:43110/me.mkg20001.bit/) does.
Plasmmer commented on Glightstar's post: @Glightstar: > So you have any ideas on how to get the data from ZeroMe/ all the Hubs, so that one can use the avatar uploaded on there :? @Nofish: and @mkg20001: are better to reply about it. Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Glightstar: I have a Github repo for my project browser.
Plasmmer commented on Glightstar's post: @Glightstar: But why be a Hub?
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Yinyue: Sorry, but I can't do it, then I asked you.

It is a social network with many fascists, some people with little intelligence, many who like to boast of daily life and material goods, others only use to stay in touch with friends and family, others only use because of events / groups, and some who do not yet know how Twitter is best.

Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Mkg20001: this wont work for my purposes. DCRS will be part of a new generation in computing, using web technologies. About it, I dream with the day ZeroNet will change from Python to Javascript/Node.js+NW.js/Electron.

DCRS will can be a BIOS substitute for load HTML5 WS (Work Systems, a evolution of Operating Systems), on new motherboards (don't exist yet), or DCRS can be a legacy OS for the PCs of today. My plan is that devices of future have DCRS "BIOS" built-in (PCs, TVs, Phones, etc).

Fits perfectly the ZeroMe's design. It can attrack users that are using ZM for the first time.

Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Mkg20001: Thanks. I'll try it now. Any plan to give users a default background? It will make ZeroMe very beautifull and impacting in the first visit.
Plasmmer commented on Glightstar's post: A suggestion (from a lot I can do): apply a CSS class on user own messages. Then you can implement a speech balloon system and move the own message to the right side, and other messages to left side.
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Mkg20001: I know. But my clones can't work as expected. Also the favicon can't works. All other clones I know occurr the same with the favicon.

As I ever say, the majority voting in a minority to do whatever they want without the understand/approvation of the majority, isn't a democracy, but a anarchy of the minority.
Plasmmer commented on kskarthik's post: @kskarthik: Do you live in India?
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Cyan: Good to read this. If it was on Facebook there would already be an "expert" to call me retarded.
Plasmmer commented on kskarthik's post: @kskarthik: mesh networks is what the Internet should be, including ZeroNet. Also if a apocalypse occurs, with solar panes powering devices we can keep the access to Internet and can survive better.
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Monday: Sadly, a lot here don't wants a democratic system, but anarchy. Also Nofish don't wants a democratic system as I see. But ZeroNet is clonable ;) The Ethereum solution for voting is the eGaaS: http://egaas.org/ But some people will resist it, because they want anarchy and anarchy scares a lot of people and make people be ashamed of the leftists accusing them of various things. Do you think a man who inventive suicide in all his posts should not have them deleted before anyone else sees ?! Do you think mute lists solve this ?! I always say that we need a system that has a balance between freedom and moderation, but there are people who want to screw things up and so we ALSO continue with the oppressive system we live in.
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Flyman: I don't think nerds need have power over the mass, but the mass need more studies, like you said be cured of mind viruses. Then the best system we can have is the mass with power.
Plasmmer commented on kskarthik's post: If you want more characters limit, you can use Kaffie's hub. How do you believe a better Internet can be done?
Plasmmer commented on P2P's post: I don't know the remediation to it, but a prevention is use GIT to record the history of changes in the ZeroNet folder.

Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Flyman: It needs a equilibry. @Monday: Sadly some people that are idiots have a lot of power, and who deserves have the power don't have it. I think censorship in the right hands (majority of people) can be done right. But in hands of totalitary people isn't good.
Plasmmer commented on Plasmmer's post: @Flyman: True about basically how it works. They are persons like me and you, but his brains don't have a prodution of the oxytocin hormone. What did you mean by "50% serious"? Here isn't a joke.

'Why can't people just be rational and support a good thing when they see it?' Because some people have a problem in the brain that don't produces the minimum required oxitocin hormone, and it causes disturbs that turn anyone into a psychopat in the born.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Sep 16, 2018

Or you is the hunter, or you is the victim, or you is just another alienated that serves as slave.
Don't try to be pacific to the owners of the world. They don't forgive (because those psychopaths doesn't forgives their own birth) and don't want peace not even to themselves.

Despite your religion/beliefs, it is as Bible says:

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be[...]
[...]unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded[...]
[...]Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.[...]
[...]Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.[...]
[...]But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was."

How they will proceed no further, if the humans will never do a revolution?

"Influence peddling is the illegal practice of using one's influence in government or connections with persons in authority to obtain favours or preferential treatment for another, usually in return for payment. Also called traffic of influence or trading in influence".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Influence_peddling

How influence peddling is sincerely/truly illegal, if there is a hierarchy hidden in "democracy" (democrazy, as seen on Brazil's parliament/congress), you is labeled "insane" for reporting true persecutions and secret reunions of groups are legal?

A lot of people subconsciously regard philosophy as a branch of discernment. This does not apply to nihilistic philosophies. "Do whatever you want" or "just do it" if used without discernment, can lead humanity to the abyss.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 11, 2017

Fools ignore. Sages ask. Geniuses guess.

Flyman · flyman@zeroid.biton Apr 14, 2017Reply

I was thinking about that. Here what came to mind.
"Fools - ignore them". Paying attention to fools is waste of time and other precious resources.
"Sages - ask them". They supposed to be wise, so they might be able to answer some questions that seem difficult for you.
"Geniuses - you need to guess". Because it is hard to distinguish genius from insane person. So you have to guess.
...or something like that.

Flyman · flyman@zeroid.biton Apr 11, 2017Reply

"Fools ignore". From my experience it is something quite opposite. It is more like "Fools can't ignore". To do something it is better to shut you off from as many distractions as you can, meaning "ignoring" things. In other words, to do one things you need to ignore other things.
"Sages ask". For me it looks like "Sages observe". I am not sage, but often fun thing happens: I am about to ask a question, then I decide to think about 1 minute, then someone from my environment tells something that is answer to my question, so there is no need to ask anymore. :-]
"Geniuses guess"... no associations for now, that worth to mention... oh, wait. Here is one just popped. I am guess a lot, but I'm not genius.

Scientists will in the future implant the power of human brains into ants. And what can this bring good to the human being as well as friendships? Negotiations. But how tiny beings can help the human being? Nanotechnology. Ants can build tiny computers (in front of our size) with the same power as our computers. So imagine this nanocomputer being scaled to its original size: much more power. How could we compensate for the ants? With slugs. Slugs are relatively easy to breed animals, and can feed several ants for quite a while.

After we saved this file we also have to modify our site’s root content.json to ignore everything in this directory on signing and load the file containing the rules:

  ...
    "ignore": "data/.*",
    "includes": {
        "data/users/content.json": {
            "signers": [],
            "signers_required": 1
        }
    },
  ...

Note: You can give moderation permissions to other users by adding addresses to “signers” list.

But I believe, I somewhere read, that this does not yet work proper..

Why do you can't reply emails on ZeroMail?

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 09, 2017Reply

@Jayofthezero: You can open a issue suggesting it:

Jayofthezero · jayofthezero@zeroid.biton Apr 09, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: I know, that was my point. ZeroMail doesn't use that. It's easier to get my attention by mentioning me on ZeroMe or commenting on my Blog. Even then though, I wish ZeroHello had a notification sound option. Maybe use the HTML5 Notifications API to better get my attention.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 09, 2017Reply

@Jayofthezero: ZeroNet now shows notifications in the ZeroHello. If ZeroMail don't shows notifications, then it need to be implemented.

Jayofthezero · jayofthezero@zeroid.biton Apr 09, 2017Reply

There's no notification system, so I never know when I get a message on ZeroMail.

Kaffie · kaffie@zeroid.biton Apr 08, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: I believe I answered that one already ;). Like the previous answer, mostly it's just because I haven't gotten around to it. I really don't have an answer besides that. That's literally the entire reason you haven't seen much of my development lately. I'd rather not go into the personal details of my life, but I've got some issues I need to work through before I can resume ZN development.

Any sort of dev question almost certainly has the same answer; to save you some time. I haven't done much dev work in general, off and on ZN. And likely before that I need to get my actual income and living situations fixed.

Github is honestly on the to-do, but not for a while. The original plan was to get Kaffiene more or less automated and then move the code to github. But neither has happened yet.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 08, 2017Reply

@Kaffie: Why do not create a GitHub repo for Kaffiene? The development will grow, and we can suggest indexing with issues/pull requests.

Rythyrix · rythyrix@zeroid.biton Apr 08, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: Have you tried LineageOS? While it's still reliant on proprietary libraries, modems and bootloaders, it's based off of AOSP, and you can build it in a VM. Keep a separate ID instead of copying, and you'll keep your primary one safe(r). Check out the downloads list and see if your phone is supported.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 08, 2017Reply

@Rythyrix: Good to know. I'll try using it. But with proprietary operating systems on phone, I don't think is secure do it.

Rythyrix · rythyrix@zeroid.biton Apr 07, 2017Reply

@Glightstar: That isn't a peer-usable fix, though, and will need to be added to the default zites to truly catch on.

Glightstar · glightstar@zeroid.biton Apr 07, 2017Reply

For a Zite to be responsive properly, you'll need to add the following property to the Zites content.json:
"viewport": "width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, shrink-to-fit=no"

(At least that's what I do x))

@Mkg20001: As I said, DCRS can be a "BIOS" for new hardware, or a legacy OS for the actual computers. Anyways, DCRS is a OS, and the concepts we have can change in the future:
BIOS > OS

OS > WS

Desktop > Work Ambient

Mkg20001 · mkg20001@zeroid.biton Apr 07, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: That's not how you atract many users. Maybe instead there should be a port of DCRS that runs on normal pc's too (basically a preconfigured DCRS emulator). And that is something that would run in virtualbox or qemu or just real non-DCRS hardware. IMHO this would be better than requiring a completly new computer.
Edit: And faster than copy/v86 - as that is very slow

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 07, 2017Reply

@Mkg20001: this wont work for my purposes. DCRS will be part of a new generation in computing, using web technologies. About it, I dream with the day ZeroNet will change from Python to Javascript/Node.js+NW.js/Electron.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 07, 2017Reply

DCRS will can be a BIOS substitute for load HTML5 WS (Work Systems, a evolution of Operating Systems), on new motherboards (don't exist yet), or DCRS can be a legacy OS for the PCs of today. My plan is that devices of future have DCRS "BIOS" built-in (PCs, TVs, Phones, etc).

Jayofthezero · jayofthezero@zeroid.biton Apr 06, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: Translating Multiple Languages is a completely different ballgame and isn't something one person does in their spare time. There's a reason why it's a decent paying job. If you screw up a translation you can cause misunderstandings. Including a translation feature implies that it's reliable enough to be used in everyday interactions. Plus the amount of space required to store the dictionaries and other components of a translation system would make it impractical to implement on Zeronet at the moment. Companies like Google have been working on translation for years with paid employees dedicated to it that have the latest in AI and neural network technology, and they still have issues. Especially when translating between languages like English and Chinese(the most used languages on Zerome at the moment).

If you or someone else wants to work on a Translation plugin for Zeronet, go right ahead, but I'm pretty sure Nofish is busy with Zeronet itself right now. Also as I said, there's no reason you can't use existing translation tools with Zeronet.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 06, 2017Reply

No idea :( but your signature/approval idea would be great on that page

@Kaffie:
How can I modify my Kaffiene's clone database? I want to create a kids/teens-safe search engine with games, infos and other related sites.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 06, 2017Reply

@Kaffie: If you open it in GitHub the work can be less slow with help of community.

Kaffie · kaffie@zeroid.biton Apr 04, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: No github just yet. And yes, I understand a reworked database would be nice. As I mentioned, my dev work has kinda grinded to a halt and I'm not sure when I'll be able to resume. I have some personal issues and I'm not sure how long it'll take me to work through them. Sorry >_<

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 03, 2017Reply

@Kaffie: The Kidsearch is "done", with above 40 sites indexed.

@Kaffie: I try to contact you by email, but isn't working. I have some nice ideas for Kaffiene. Do you have a GitHub page for it?
Will be nice in Kaffiene to start using a database where users can connect with ZeroID and submit his sites without the need to you work on it. A user will have a time limit to submit sites, and also the algo can have a minimum number of peers for a site be inserted.

Kaffie · kaffie@zeroid.biton Apr 02, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: I'll look into it. I'm not sure how easy that'll be to do. My initial thought was just to scrape the page, but then I remembered that that won't work. An iframe maybe, but then cleanup might be difficult. Alternatively I could try to query the sql database manually. Something like how sqeek does. Either way, dev for Kaffiene is really slow going at the moment. But I think this might be a way to add a bit more usage to it while I'm being slow with the index, haha.

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 02, 2017Reply

@Kaffie: I have a suggestion for Kaffiene. Search ZeroWiki in a search and show a card about a person/product/etc. Like Google does actually.

Kaffie · kaffie@zeroid.biton Apr 02, 2017Reply

Just edit data.txt. The format is: name[tags, separated, by, commas:address rank. Just refer to the data.txt in Kaffiene's files for a reference. See here.

I get a "missing content.json" in my sites. Why?

Mynameislegion · mynameislegion@zeroid.biton Apr 01, 2017Reply

@Plasmmer: That's what did it for me. Also, if you using TOR you won't need to open any ports

Plasmmer · plasmmer@zeroid.biton Apr 01, 2017Reply

@Mynameislegion: Then, sharing my site and people accessing will solve the problem?

Mynameislegion · mynameislegion@zeroid.biton Apr 01, 2017Reply

Can happen when you don't have enough seeders. Opening the port can help but it also works without, only takes longer.

Please, we can't be like Deep Web. But we also can't be like Surface Web.
No totalitary censorship and no ilegal posts. We need a equilibry.

This site needs moderation of the majority of the users.
Some posts in the "Everyone" section are making me sad.

nekololi · nekololi@zeroid.biton Apr 01, 2017Reply

i haven't experienced any spam or abusive users on zerome recently but i also can not read chinese and my spanish is rusty, so i may be missing something. now, if you wish to police other people's beliefs and values, you are better off using the mute function. then the things they say can't affect you.

Jayofthezero · jayofthezero@zeroid.biton Apr 01, 2017Reply

No moderation on ZeroMe, that'd defeat the point. Although tags and filtering would be nice. In the mean time if you click the three-dot button in the top-right of a post you get an option to mute the user. That'll hide all their posts and comments. And that covers the entirety of ZeroNet, not just ZeroMe, so you won't see their content on most sites. You can manage your muted users in ZeroHello.
